Queen’s University Office of Professional Development and Educational Scholarship

Eleftherios Soleas is the Director of Lifelong Learning and Innovation in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University in the Office of Professional Development and Educational Scholarship as well as adjunct faculty in health sciences and education. His program of research looks at motivation dynamics and the design of learning environments to stoke innovation. He is a mixed methods researcher balancing thematic, narrative, and quantizing approaches with statistical modeling. His role places him as a primary developer and accreditor of CPD and FD for the Faculty of Health Sciences and as the educational lead for his home department. He is a member of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada’s Accreditation Committee. He is the co-chair of Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada’s CPD Deans Committee as well as the Chair of AFMC CPD Research Symposium. He also serves on university and national committees lending his educational, psychological, and accreditation perspectives. He has a passion for grouchy advocacy for a fairer, more egalitarian Canada based on inclusion, community, and compassion. Terry enjoys, in no particular order, trying to be funny, teaching, baked goods, lost causes, and relatedly watching the Toronto Maple Leafs.
