
Tanya MacLeod
Tanya MacLeod is a dedicated Evaluation Specialist in Continuing Professional Development and Medical Education at Dalhousie University, where she plays a vital role in assessing and improving programs and institutional processes. With a strong background in critical appraisal and knowledge translation, mixed methods research, and strategic planning, Tanya focuses on data-driven decisions to ensure the university’s programs meet the highest standards of quality and impact.
Tanya is passionate about fostering meaningful change in medical education and practice. As the past chair of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada CPD Research Committee, she has led national initiatives to improve the delivery and impact of medical education for practicing physicians. She has published numerous evaluation projects and initiatives in health professions education and enjoys being a reviewer for national and international conferences and journals. Her expertise extends to a range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, ensuring a rigorous approach to meet the information needs for diverse stakeholders.
When she’s not evaluating programs, Tanya can be found driving her children to their many sporting events, enjoying the golf course with her ladies' league in the summer, and staying active on the lakeside trails of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
